Hi Carly, Rather than all that, since this is a brand new TV that I hadn't really done any setting changes on, I did a factory reset on it and the app is now on the home screen without having to do anything extra. I imagine it (correctly) picked it up from my account info.
I'm a little afraid to add another one, but if I want one, I'll try to remember to subscribe through Roku, rather than directly on the service, and see what that does.
FWIW, the device is a TCL 43S450R with Roku built in. I don't know the software version, but before I did the reset I had it check for updates and there were none.
Regards,
Dan
Hi. I am having the same problem. I have a roku stick+ model 3811x serial yh00f0490806 soft version 13.1.4 build 1512-0. cust service gave me an issue number of 06-341-401, then promptly ignored it after over an hour and a half an chat.
I go to the streaming apps store menu page and several apps have a check mark in a little circle in the bottom right corner. after looking at the link provided here, ALL the apps I wanted to get on my home screen have that little check mark. I guess it means "installed", but NONE of them are on the home screen. oddly, at least one I never selected is also marked as installed. I am only after free streaming services (tho it pains me to have to go back to ads).
I don't see anything here that has fixed the problem.
I don't want to do a factory reset, and lose all that info I have typed in, much of which I don't remember. I didn't get that a factory reset would definitively fix the problem either.
any suggestions?

I am having the same issue as the original poster with the YouTube TV app not showing up on my home page after installing it. I can navigate to the YouTube TV by going to the cable alternative options or by going to “Search” where YouTube TV app shows up as a recent search. I have tried all the recommended procedures in this thread and none of them have worked

no, i have no other devices.
As i already said, the Roku channel store shows them installed and no way to uninstall so i can try to reinstall them, but none show up on main menu screen.
I checked the software is updated FIRST, with customer service who STILL have not contacted me after saying they would after 48 hours tops. unless that's who YOU are.
again, uninstalling everything and doing a factory reset would be painful. surely you can get them to main home screen on your end, if you are customer support
