CBS App Does Not Work Using my Roku TV

I often use NBC and ABC apps to catch up on recent programing that I missed.  I am never able to do that using the CBS app.  Help!

Welcome and thank you for posting here in the Roku Community, MGBon!

Thanks for letting us know about the playback issues you've been experiencing with the CBS channel on your Roku streaming stick. We suggest some troubleshooting methods to help you get back on streaming.

Before we proceed, can you please inform us if any error messages are prompted on your screen? If so, kindly let us know. Also, try to perform the troubleshooting steps provided below to help you:

    1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
    2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
    3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and choose Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

We also need to make sure that the steps have been done precisely to work. For reference, check out our Support link on How to resolve a channel playback issue.

Furthermore, if the issue persists, we suggest reaching out to the channel providers themselves, which, in this case, is CBS channel Support, as they are the ones who provided and maintained their channel on the Roku streaming platform. Their channel may need an update from them.

We hope you get everything sorted out soon and appreciate you bearing with us in the meantime. Please keep us posted on how it goes!

    Best regards,
    Carly

I'm replying to my own post only because I think I fixed this problem. At least for me, I got CBS to work again by disconnecting the app from Hulu and signing up for a CBS account as if I didn't have one previously. It involved creating a new account & password and then connecting the CBS app to my streaming service (Hulu). Once that was completed CBS then let me play episodes of shows in their app. I hope this helps someone else having this same problem.
