I have tried all of these and still nothing
HBO+, can't search. DISNEY+, stops and returns. The list goes on. Was thinking it was just old box bur apparently not. Any other ideas because I don't like my fire stick and won't go back to cable 😒
My device keeps returning me to the Home Screen after about 30 seconds of watching a show on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus. I’ve tried uninstalling channels and reinstalling, turning off and on the tv, and disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet.
Having this problem constantly on our: TCL 55P607 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV
We are seeing this with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu the most. Also, sometimes you can get far enough long to start watching something, and then it will crash.

@StreamerUser: Thanks so much for the explanation and analysis. I have not understood why Roku hasn't made a direct statement itself about the problem, but i think you've cleared that up. As for the list of fixes, you're basically telling me that the chaos is way beyond what I was thinking!
I received an email from Amazon Prime this morning, saying that I will have to upgrade my Roku by Nov. 1 to keep watching Prime. I am wondering if this is the right time to switch to another product like Amazon's own. Any opinions?
I use and recommend a multi-platform streaming strategy (at least 3 different streaming platforms, one of which is Android/Android TV-based for sideloading apps if necessary).
You didnt mention your Roku model #, but if you got that email, you definitely have an older model. Checking your posting history you seem to have an issue with just one app: TNT
(BTW, try the first 3 items in the list for older models, especially the theme and screensaver ones).
I recommend upgrading to the $30-40 Express 4K+ - the $10 Express "Prime upgrade offer" isnt worth it - you shouldnt have any problems loading/playing TNT in general (though TNT/TBS arent the best coded apps and occasionally have issues).
That's a great point @StreamerUser . I've had to resort to using multiple streaming devices myself - my LG TV has apps and most of the Roku channels I use are also LG apps. Of course, when I forget and am using Roku, it almost always crashes.
Tried taking the batteries out of remote and using smartphone as remote and still go the same results. Went back to home screen after a few moments

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the posts.
Couple of things in order to avoid confusion on this thread:
1) if you are experiencing issues with the Hulu channel crashing, we believe this issue is resolved. For more information about this specific channel, visit our Community post here: https://community.roku.com/t5/Channel-Issues-Questions/Hulu-is-crashing-after-about-20-30-seconds-of...
2) if you are experiencing this issue with other channels (not Hulu), please provide us with all of the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-remote model (this can be found in Settings > Remote & devices > Remotes > (your remote) > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
-have you already tried removing the batteries from your remote, and then trying to use another remote or Roku mobile app to see if you are still seeing the issue occur?
Once we have this information we will be able to investigate further.
Thanks,
Danny
