Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

Yes I just had to unplug my device(TCL Roku Tv) and I plugged it in a few hours later and it's been fine ever since. Probably was an overkill keeping it unplugged for that long but honestly I had forgotten about it, lol....but when I plugged it back in, all apps worked like normal......🤷 permanent fix? Doubtful....but it's working for now....👍👍 Good luck to everyone,.and hopefully this helps some of you....

Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

I removed the batteries as you requested and used my phones roku app for the remote. seems to work normally now! so is it a problem with the remote? Update: put the batteries back in the remote and problem seems to have subsided.

Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

Removing the batteries from the remote,  and using the phone app seems to have solved the problem. It used to happen every time i turned on the tv, now, with the app, it hasn't happened once. So now what?  Can you send me a new remote? I view using my phone as a temporary fix, i certainly do not want to hand my phone to my kid every time she wants to watch tv. Where do we go from here?

Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

Ever since this "return home" problem has annoyed us, I have concluded that a permanent fix has NOT been found (yet)!.  My problem is INTERMITANT and there are days when everything works fine....it's those OTHER days that I can't figure out. $^&^#!  G%$#@@!

Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

Jumping to home after starting a program:

This post is in addition to my previous post highlighting suspected "spurious emissions" from the Roku voice remotes delivered with my Ultra LT units (purchased with the last 2 weeks):

Older (IR only) remotes work fine with both units.  No problems have been encountered.  Unfortunately, this eliminates any of the enhanced functions (e.g., TV volume control) associated with the Voice remotes.

Both Roku units are hardwired (i.e., they have no LAN-based WiFi presence or identity).  When I use the Roku remote control app on either of my Android phones, everything works correctly.  This would seem to vindicate the WiFi Direct functionality in the Roku units, themselves.

There is definitely something wrong with this batch of Voice Remotes.  Unless Roku can fix it via the base unit, it will remain a problem.

At this point, I am asking that Roku step up and acknowledge there is a problem with a subset of the voice remotes currently in use/distribution.  Roku should initiate action via direct customer contact (via registration info) to deliver correctly functioning voice remotes as swap-outs for these faulty devices.

I am willing to discuss this with any representative of Roku.  Initial contact can be made via 'buyer_sgt@earthlink.net'.  I look forward to speaking with you.

Re: Are you being returned to Home screen after selecting a channel?

I deleted all channels I no longer use. I also deleted the channels that were not loading. I did what you said go to settings/system/system restart and so far I have been able to reload channels and they are working....

Thank You
