The audio isnt playing on my apple tv app on my Roku tv. It was working fine last week. I have tried several fixes with no luck including:
Please let me know if there is anything else I can try. I'm really puzzled. All other apps are playing audio normally. Video plays fine on the app, just no sound. Thanks!
Are you connecting to/through an AVR/Soundbar via ARC?
If so, have you restarted your AVR/soundbar or disconnected them/switched to internal speakers and checked again?
No, I'm using the TV's built in speaker. I have no external speaker
Try:
1) Changing Settings/Audio/HDMI=Dolby Digital (ATV uses DD for non-Atmos content) - try again
2) Unplug Roku TV from AC for 10-15 mins - try again
FYI, there was an ATV app update (7.0.126) a few days ago (Monday) - this probably the source of the onset of your ATV app lacking audio.
I recommend giving feedback (highlight the ATV app/Options/Give us Feedback/Poor video or audio quality) and also contacting Apple: https://support.apple.com/contact.
Having similar Issue except audio for ATV is fine through the TV built in Speakers, but no audio when using Roku app personal listening
It's the only channel having trouble with
Anything else I can try besides what was previously posted for original question ?

You didnt mention your firmware version (and looking at your post history, I see you have two different Premiere models listed: a 4620 and a 3920).
I QnD (quick and dirty) tested the Remote app (version 7.8.1.688518) on several Android devices and on several different Roku models to make sure it was working properly with the ATV app (version 7.0.126), and discovered several issues (including your issue and a few others).
Your case workaround:
1) Change Settings/Audio/HDMI=PCM stereo OR Settings/Audio/Audio Mode=Stereo
2) Open ATV app & Roku remote app, use headphones mode successfully (with audio)
3) Close ATV app, change the audio setting back to Auto detect or Auto passthrough (depending on model).
You should also report this to both Apple and Roku (this leans more towards an ATV app issue, considering other issues with the most recent ATV app update) - be sure to include your firmware version and app version:

P.S: Close game against Villareal - Tuchel has increased his cachet as a tactical genius/savant with his Kepa substitution for the shootout - Chelsea has both the Champions League Cup and the UEFA SuperCup, and just missed on the FA Cup. Lukaku coming back is interesting but necessary...hopefully he fairs better than Werner especially...
