I just bought a Roku Ultra (last week) and linked in all my channels. (I would call them "Apps" but regardless of semantics, I've added my stuff to the Home screen.)
Netflix, Hulu, HBoMax, Vudu, Prime, Disney, CBS, CrunchyRoll, and Youtube.
Wasn't paying attention last night so i don't know when this started, but this morning, CBS, CrunchyRoll, and YouTube were no longer on my home screen.
So i added them again, naturally there was not "download" now because thy are already on my device, just missing from the Home screen.
I had to reconfigure these apps/channels to use my accounts.
Started watching YouTube. Paused to got the bathroom, when i cam back it was already on the Fish-Tank screen saver, and upon returning to the home screen: CBS, YouTube and CrunchyRoll HAVE BEEN REMOVED AGAIN!!!
What is going here? The reason I finally went with the Roku is because unlike the PS4 or FireStick, I have control over the menu. But now it's just dropping my channels that I've added?
How do I fix this?
Thanks

Any channel/app removed from one Roku device will be removed from all devices linked to the same account. Do you have multiple devices linked to your account? You can check at https://my.roku.com . What email address shows under Settings->System->About on your Roku - is it yours? Did you call any number to activate your Roku?
Ok.
I get the nature of this feature, so that if I just signed up for a new service, that service would automatically be available on all my devices. Great.
Any way i can turn this feature off?
I mean, if I had a Roku in the living room, and one in the kid's room, i wouldn't necessarily want them to have unfettered access to all services, just because they are both linked to the same account. As with all things it should be an "opt in" not an "opt out" scenario. I might just be weird and want to have one roku set up with movie apps and a different one for tv apps. The point being, i want to control things my way. They are my devices, not Roku's. It was the primary reason i switched to Roku because FireStick and PS4 don't allow me to control my menus my way, and I found with the first Roku I purchased that I could control the apps/channels and the menu order.
So how can i have multiple devices linked to the same account without them being synchronized to each other? If I want something on both devices I will install it.
Thanks

Sorry, no can do. To have separate channel listings, you need to have the sets connected to different Roku accounts. This also gives you the ability to have different PIN and parental control settings. Duplicate accounts don't cost anything to create, but each needs its own unique email address.
To change an already set up Roku to a different Roku account, you need to do a Factory reset (via Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset). The Roku will reboot as though it were a new unit right out of the box and you'll need to set it up from scratch, connecting to the new account.
The downside is that anything you have subscribed to and paid for through Roku will only be available on the account to which it is subscribed. Channels you have subscribed to directly with the channel will be viewable through their dedicated channels apps on all supported devices.
Again,
That is a bad design for user customization. As a programmer, I would know.
Features are great, but when they are enforced, it turns people away.
Thanks for information.

Re-introducing this issue.
Today most of the channels that I had installed like Amazon, YouTube, Hulu, iHeartRadio, Spotify and others like TV cast, etc.
I know all my devices are linked to one account so all my devices are missing the above (and more channels).
What would cause this. All my devices are Roku Expresses, 3700, 3900, 3910. They don’t seem to update their firmware at the same time so why does this happen.
When I couldn’t load YouTubeTV a few weeks ago, I removed it and had to use the YouTube work around because Google removed YTTV.
Hopefully, I can re-install my missing channels.
Thanks for the post.
When you add a channel to one of your devices, it will not readily add them to all of the devices that are linked to your Roku account.
If you want them those channels to be added to you Roku devices immediately, we would recommend checking for a system update on each of your devices through Settings > System > System update. Then once your device has been updated, try checking to see if the channels have been added to your Home screen.
For more information about checking for a system update on your Roku device, visit our Support page here: Update the software on your Roku
Please keep us posted what you find out.

Appreciate your response, however, my issue was not adding a channel to one device and not seeing it on another Roku Express device.
All my devices had the same channels installed and were working fine on all devices.
The issue I tried to describe was that one day more than half of my installed channels were no longer showing on the Roku Home Screen. They mysteriously disappeared on all devices and needed to be re-installed.
Not sure how or why this happened. I check my Roku Expresses periodically and all are updated to their latest firmware.
Thanks for the follow up.
Have you ensured that the device is linked to the same Roku account by verifying the email address in Settings > System > System About.
If the device is linked to the correct account, can you provide more information about the device you are experiencing the issue with? What Roku model device are you using? What channels are you not seeing on your Roku device? Have you already checked for a software update on this device? What OS is the device currently running?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
