Thanks for the post.

When removing a channel, please make sure to restarting your device before adding the channel back again, specifically in that order.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

I am having the same problem and Im not in Canada. I was watching The Maplewood Murders when the screen went to the purple Roku screen. When i went back to my show it says No longer available or expired. I checked other shows and they all say that. In a matter of minutes I cant access the Roku Channel anymore.

I tried pushing home and back button sequence. No luck. I have Version 2.5 Build 19. It says my Roku Channel is up to date. I have not checked my other tvs in the house nor have I completely rebooted yet.

It seems to be a problem created by a stop in playing when a commercial needs to start and the device cannot figure it out. Instead of playing it gives the error. I was able to start playing on my mobile, watched the ads, then after that, I was able to play the show.

I have the same problem with the Roku channel and Paramount Plus. Element model E2AA40R.

Thanks for the post.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. 

If you are still experiencing an issue, can you please provide us with the following information:

  • tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times and provide us with this ID)
  • steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing 

Please keep us posted what you find out and we will be able to assist you further.
