All 4 keeps freezing

All 4 on my Roku TV keeps freezing, believed to NOT be buffering. It will freeze every 20-30 seconds for about 1-2 seconds before continuing. I believe this not to be a buffering issue as there is no loss of quality to the picture nor does the buffering ring appear when it freezes. Can anybody give me any ideas or solutions why this is?

This freezing does not occur on any other app on the tv (NOW TV, Netflix, ITV hub etc.). And I have also tried to delete the All 4 app and re install it, and still hasn't fixed the problem... 

I'm out of ideas! Thanks

What app is this happening with? You only mentioned that it doesn't occur with any other one. Or is All 4 the name of the channel? I don't recognize the name. Are you located in the US, or somewhere else?

Since it's only happening on a single channel, I would concur that there's likely no networking issue causing it. It's possible the provider themselves are having difficulty with their streaming servers. The other possibility is there's an issue with the channel itself, and only the channel provider can resolve that. Roku did not create the channel and can't make changes to it.

When you remove a channel, you must reboot the device before adding it back. For a Roku TV, that doesn't mean turning it off and on, as that doesn't really shut the TV down. Go into the Settings/System menu and find the System Restart setting and reboot it that way.

can't speak for the OP, but it's the catch up app for channel 4 TV in the UK and im having the same problem.  un/re-installing the app has not solved the problem

For clarification, did you restart your Roku device before re-installing the channel? That step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't tried the suggested order, we would recommend giving it a shot once again.

Moreover, if the problem continues on one channel after attempting the suggestion above, videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help.

Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developer themselves. There's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them.
