The first episode of the mini series Winter on Acorn TV streams the original pilot movie, "The Killing Field," and not episode 1, "Skeletons". Because of this, there is no way to stream the actual first episode of the series. The pilot movie could be labled episode 0 to fix this issue.
Hi, @ThatSteveD
Greetings, and welcome to the Roku Community.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As I have reviewed the episodes of the Winter series on Acorn TV on The Roku Channel, the first episode is playing the correct content, and this is based on the episode released on Acorn TV.
Thank you for your understanding, and if you find that this content issue should be corrected further or have any concerns, feel free to let us know.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team.
Thanks for getting back to me. I'll try to explain this better.
The issue that I am seeing is that when I play the first episode from the series Winter on Acorn TV on the Roku Channel that you linked to, it is playing the Pilot episode, "The Killing Field", instead of Episode 1, "Skeletons", even though it is titled Skeletons in the app. You will notice that this episode when viewed is 1hr 31min long instead of the actual episode 1 which should only be 45min long.
If you look at the Acorn TV page for this series, https://acorn.tv/winter/, you'll notice that there are 7 episodes listed, a pilot episode, which is not included in the Winter series, and the 6 Winter series episodes, whereas the Roku Channel only has 6 total episodes, the first one being the pilot, not episode 1. The Roku Channel has labeled the Pilot as episode 1, along with the wrong title, description, and duration.
It seems that episode 2 is correct because it starts off with a previously on segment from episode 1, there is just no way to watch episode 1 through the Roku Channel.
I am hoping that there is some way to fix this, since the entire series is based on what happens in episode 1, and there is no way to watch it.
I hope you can understand the issue that I am trying to describe.
If you need any more information from me, please let me know.
Thanks, ThatSteveD
