Accidentally Deleted Channels

My daughter deleted a bunch of channels not knowing it would delete the channels from all my devices. Is there any way to see a  list of what I have has previously installed and uninstalled. She deleted over 70 channels and there is no way for me to remember that many channels by name.

Not really.  For the free Channels, unless they are still available on another device due to a lag in synching, they are most likely gone.

For any paid Subscription Channels, you can navigate to your Roku account (https://www.roku.com/ or https://my.roku.com/account) and go to Manage Subscriptions.  Removing subscription channels will only delete the Channel, not the subscription itself).

For future, you can occassionally take a screenshot(s) of your installed Channels with your phone.  (I recognize this does little for you currently.)

If you have many/most of these channels because you told roku that you had cable when you set it up, then I suppose you could factory reset one of your Roku's and tell it again that you have that cable provider when you link it to your account?

Re: Accidentally Deleted Channels

Well, luckliy I got on a ROKU at another location that is on my account and cut the internet before I turned it and and did just that, took screenshots before I turned on the internet. Will take awhile to add these channels back. Would be nice if we could see some sort of list for all installs and uninstalls. Im'e sure ROKU has it it on the backend of the software for stats, analytics and advertising on there end, but sure would be nice to make this available to users as well.

Just a clarification to what @AvsGunnar said... when he said "they (the free apps) are most likely gone" he meant from your devices. You can get them back by reinstalling them. He covered how to get the paid apps back.

If it would be easier to have different Roku app libraries, you could set up a second Roku account and tie her Roku to the other account. Depending on her age, you may even want to let her manage it.

Regardless, you may want to add a PIN to the account to prevent purchases, if you haven't already. It can be set to prevent purchases, or adding of any apps at all.

Now that you have all your channels back, a posting by @renojim has reminded me of a way to get a xml listing of all channels installed on a Roku device. (you can print this out or again, screenshot).

1. Find the IP address of your Roku device.  (Settings..Network..About  or Settings..System..About)

2. In a web browser using laptop or phone connected to same network, type in your Roku IP address followed by :8060/query/apps

(ie.  http://192.168.1.111:8060/query/apps  )

This should provide you a text-based xml list of all your installed channels.
