That generic email is probably chock full with all sorts of customer requests. If anyone finds a different email we might try, please share it here. Maybe asking someone else will get us more than a form letter reply.
Alternately, NewsMax is a great station also. Perhaps they will support us on Roku better than Fox can.
I received a reply from Fox News. Replied answering these solutions did not fix the problem. Using one account nor logging off, rebooting and relogging in did not work. Recommend everyone continue emailing Fox regarding this problem. Hopefully, these will drive the solution.
FOX's email: "Thank you for your response and apologies for any issues streaming our content viaRoku.
TheRokuapp currently doesn't have an option to remember your whole login, just the username.
We wanted to let you know that we definitely hear you and put this as a feature update request which we hope to have live very soon!
These changes will address the frustrations you've encountered and enhance the user experience moving forward.
Why doesRokucontinually lose my auto sign in to fox news, on all devices? Some apps** require re-authentication **if they **detect multiple logins **from the same account from different locations. Essentially, a way to** reduce account sharing. **In that case, it would be** intentional behavior.**
Note that aRokudevice _tied to the sameRokuaccount_ at a different location may be considered "account sharing" if the app uses**Roku's Single Sign On process.**
We've passed the concern to our internal team regarding "Spectrum" for the meantime; please see the instructions below.
In order** to change TV service providers **go to the **Live TV settings and select ‘Log Out’.** Next, select your new **TV service provider and log in using your new username and password.**
**_*Rebooted, and reauthorized via your provider, then restarted theRokuunit to save the new authorization data to system memory._**
This has been happening before and after resetting my Roku Ultra to factory settings. After I reset my Roku to factory settings, I only signed into one channel - Fox News with DirecTV. It worked for about a week until I signed into Showtime Anytime and Starz with someone else's Spectrum account credentials.
OK, I have ONLY Spectrum Internet and I FIRST only signed into the Fox News channel (the only channel I was signed into with any credentials for a week) using my parents' DirecTV sign in credentials and that worked fine for about a week and ONLY after signing into Showtime Anytime and Starz with someone else's Spectrum sign in credentials did I experience the message with the Fox News channel displaying that this channel is not included in your subscription. Spectrum must be detecting my IP and/or mac address which in turn tells them that I only pay for their internet. But, why am I being signed out of Fox News after I just sign into it with DirecTV? If single sign on is what's causing this, how can I disable this on my Roku Ultra?
Thanks for reaching out regarding the issue you are experiencing.
For more information about Fox News' functionality, you'll want to contact their customer support team to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves. They are the best ones to help you with this matter.
