I get this message trying to watch FOX and NBC live, but I have watched on the Roku for quite a while, streaming to the projector.
I don't have a TV subscription, don't need it for FOX and NBC.
They did ask once to verify my account on their website, but that option didn't show up this time.
Anybody else have this issue?
Hey @YourNameHere @JMC823
I hope you're doing well.
For more information about Fox News' functionality, you'll want to contact their customer support team to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves. They are the best ones to help you with this matter.

I'm getting the same message almost every day, but I have a Directv subscription which includes FOX News and FOX Business. A system restart of the Roku eliminates the message. Also, I have to use my MacBook Pro to log in to FOX News (using an authorization code) via my Directv account almost every day. Quite a hassle...
Was this ever resolved for you? I am getting that same message. When I delete FoxNews and add it back in, it works for a while, but ultimately I get kicked out again. It's getting to be a pain to keep having to delete and add the codes each day.

I have contacted Fox per instructions 2 times. No answer or resolution. This bug has been in 3 of your models and I have experienced for the last 6 months in 15 roku devices. Use to work, but started mid 2020.
Fox app version 4.37 build 2021092001 and Roku model 4800x Ultra. Software version 10.5.0 build 4187-C2 Connected to Comcast internet provided. App linked & successfully login to cable TV provider "Atlantic Broadband" which has viewing permission.
Roku need to escalate this bug with Fox and have it fixed.
I had the exact same problem and when searching for the fix, I found this thread. For the record, I have an Xfinity cable subscription, so why I’d see an error relating to Spectrum TV, is beyond me. This is clearly a bug and It’s annoying as **bleep**, but I was able to get past it. I hit the back button and the error message went away and it brought up a screen with options to watch (for 10 minutes), or sign in. I figured I’d do the latter for the umpteenth time, and while I was reaching for my iPad to activate/enter the code, after a minute or so, it just went away and It just let me in as it should have in the first place. Really frustrating, but I was finally able to watch what I wanted. Hope that helps you guys. Considering how buggy this app is, maybe it will work for you, maybe not. Good luck!
Hello- yes indeed, I managed to stumble on your back button workaround by trial and error. Sorry for not posting it sooner. Still have to re-sign in almost every 24 hours using my laptop (and DIRECTV account), but it's not a catastrophe... FOX seems to have a lot of bugs in its Roku "interface", hopefully it will manage to solve them before the giant meteor arrives... 🙂
We too have to sign in to FoxNews daily and have had to for a few months now. It's very annoying and seems deliberate.
Update: I've been emailing back and forth with Fox. On Nov 1st, replied "The developers are aware of the issue and have yet to provide an update. We will get back to you as soon as we receive an update."
I keep asking for progress status. Hopefully, they will fix it soon.
Still no solution. Fox replies their developers have not responded.
