Hey @Robertjp
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
For us to forward your information to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further, please provide us with the channel version/build and a tracker ID. You can check @RokuDanny-R's post above to know where you can find it.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
Kariza
I have 2 ROKU's one is on 10.0 and I just purchased a new (second) ROKU and after install it was upgraded to 10.5 build 4187-50 (automatically). I have no (zero) issues running Tablo on 10.0 ROKU but problems with 10.5 ROKU.
I record and watch most of my programs. After watching a program I will delete it and move on to the next program. Each time I do this with 10.5, Tablo crashes and I end up on the ROKU home screen. I will go back into Tablo and watch the next recorded program and when finished delete. Once I start the next recorded program, Tablo crashes to the ROKU home screen. I have probably watched over 20 programs and has happened every time. Rinse and Repeat.
Works perfectly on ROKU 10.0 though.

Disregard my post. This was meant for Tablo not ROKU. I believe that my issue is with Tablo and not ROKU I thought I was in the Tablo forum. Sorry for the confusion all.

Hi Danny,
I've been having the same issue, and have seen many other people on various forums reporting it. There is no particular channel that causes my Table to crash back to the home screen, and it happens with both live and recorded ones. Following please find the Roku information that you requested from others:
Model: 9101X- Roku Smart Soundbar
Serial#: YL00CT713503 (R6499C713503)
Software: 10.5, build 4174-95
Issue ID#: 03-420-356
This whole thing is frustrating as Roku has to know there is an issue d/t all of the complaints.
Thanks, Pat R
Similar problems have been reported by others with Tablo on Roku 10.5.
Meanwhile, while waiting from a response from Tablo, have you run a software update check on the Roku running Roku 10.5? There may be a later Roku 10.5 build and/or a Tablo build specifically for Roku 10.5. Roku menu path Settings > System > System update > Check now.
It's a actually an issue with BOTH Tablo and Roku - so though you said to disregard your post because it was intended for Tablo, the issue has validity here, too. Addressing the issue with both is probably a good thing to help escalate a resolution. For now, ROKU, I've resorted to using my Google Chromecast where the Tablo app is working just fine.
Tablo has a workaround for its crashing issue on certain Roku devices. They now have a modified Tablo app called "Tablo ALT" and it can only be added via the "adding a Private Channel" method - the app is NOT available in the Roku Channel Store. From the Tablo Support forums, here's the link that should go to your Roku account page (you may have to login to your Roku account) and it will add the private channel: https://my.roku.com/account/add/TabloALT
You may have to reboot your Roku for the channel to appear on your Roku home screen.
Roku fails to play Tablo content with the following error:Your Roku.is not connected to a device that support Surround sound. Factory resetting the Roku resolved the issue, but it happens 2 or 3 times a day.
Thanks for the post.
Can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
-what format is the content that you are trying to play
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
