roku stick and roku stick plus not same guide with Directv Now app

I have both a Roku Stick model 3800, and also a Roku Stick Plus model 3810.
Both sticks are at same Roku software version 8.1.0 Build 4137.
I bought the Roku Stick Plus recently for my family room TV because is has the better WIFI range.
Using DirecTV Now i get much different results when using their guide etc.
The Roku plus stick 3810 will continue to play video and audio in the backround when browsing guide and resumes TV seemlessly when you exit the guide.
The Roku stick 3800 stops playing video and audio when browsing guide, and takes 5 - 10 seconds time to play video/audio when you exit guide.
This a bug ? Others noticing this as well ?
