Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

I played an album last night, and the song order was messed up. It went:

1. [track name]
10. [track name]
11. [track name]
2. [track name]
3. [track name]

...and so on. Is there a way to fix this, outside of removing any numbers preceding tracks in my collection (if that's where they originated).

Try 01,02,03..etc.

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

Just to report: in the Roksbox help screen I see that I am on ver 1.24.6 as expected but the Channel info screen reports version 1.24 - build 108.

I do not know if this is an error or normal but I thought it should be reported.

New version available - V 1.24.6

Besides a few fixes, this version now supports episodes when using nfo files with ThumbGen. You will need to use a ThumbGen episode sheet (as opposed to a normal movie sheet) for each episode.

You should get V1.24.6 automatically within 24 hours, or you can enter and exit the Channel Store to pick it up sooner.

Wow, that's great news, I didn't see that coming. I'll have to play with Thumbgen episode sheets at the weekend, thanks so much for this.

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

I have a droboFS that has videos files on it. Is there a way roksbox can access it through AFP (Apple) or SMB (Windows)?? When I type in the webserver address, even if I delete http:// and change it to AFP or SMB, it'll automatically use http://

No, only http served files. A quick look shows that droboapps includes an apache server that you can setup and have running.

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

I can't get any subtitles to appear using a .srt file. For my DVDs I just burned in all the forced subtitles using Handbrake but it does not support blu ray subtitles. I extracted them and converted them to a .srt file, but they won't show up. I'm using a IIS server and went in and added .srt in the MIME Types. I even tried downloading a .srt file using thumbgen but those did not work either. Is there something I'm missing?

You are naming them exactly the same as the video file name?

Yes, I doubled checked to make sure, everthing else works fine(cover art,NFO,movie sheet) its just the subtitles I can't get to show up.

I just went back and tried adding a .srt file to one of my DVD rips and those showed up fine. So it's only on the blu ray rip that I can't get the subtitles to show up? Could it have something to do with the encoding? The video(1080p) plays fine its just the subtitles that I can't get to work on it.
