I love the interface, but have had no luck getting the server and client to talk to one another. (Constant "invalid IP/XML file" error.)
I was able to play around with the live demo and liked it a lot. I will check out future versions, but I must reluctantly agree with those that have commented that the set-up is still a click or two too cumbersome in this release.

I did not know why it was not working, but had a hunch of why, however I had to do my Work, and could not test my idea out. At first I thought it was that it did not see it. But then I try, taking away the ":80:80" and it work. SO instead of the
192.168.1.101:80:80
I change it to
192.168.1.101

Shouldn't that be 192.168.1.101:8080, not :80:80?

That's right. If you're using port 8080, then it should be 192.168.1.101:8080, not 80:80. If you're using port 80, then it can be 192.168.1.101:80, or just 192.168.1.101 without a port specified (80 is the default).

Thanks! Very well done!
I set it up and it was very easy. I specially like the fact that I only need the http server running on my windows machine (and mongoose is perfect).
A couple of issues that I suspect have to do with me choosing the wrong parameters in handbrake:
1) movie plays 5 minutes and then gets in a loop of "reloading" plays 2 secs, "reloading" plays 2 secs, ...
2) movie didn't play. shows length as 0min
if I'm converting a source from 1080 in handbrake, should I use the normal or high profile? what about other parameters i need to change for the 1080->720 downgrade? Maybe you could create a Roku profile for handbrake?
thanks!!!
cheers,
h

You might have to experiment a little to see what works best. I would start at setting the Average Bitrate to 1500 on the Video tab. That has always worked well for me.
