Youtubetv requires sign in on mobile

Can’t access existing Youtubetv account. TV screen says sign in via mobile device and enter code but when I do that, there is no option to enter code.  I have removed app from the TV and restarted Roku via system restart then reinstalled Youtubetv app-still doesn’t work.
