YouTube update: Why remove ability to skip to next or previous video?

Recent update removed the arrows to go to the next video or replay previous one. Now have to use a list that goes back to number one after a few videos.

Why would they do this!?  Waste of time that makes the app almost unusable!    

Please put it back!
