YouTube not working

Every time I click on the YouTube app it’s shows a black screen with a hour glass than it goes back the the Roku homepage

First, what model Roku do you have? The model number please. Roku has a bad habit of reusing the same name on different devices. 

The first thing to try when a single channel is misbehaving is to remove the channel, reboot the Roku (critical step, do not skip it), and then add the channel back in.

I stress again, you must reboot the Roku before adding the channel back. Only a reboot actually removes the channel completely.
