Re: roku youtube app error again

You didnt mention your Roku model # and firmware version: Settings/System/About

Known solutions/workarounds for YT app not loading:

1) Check for updates: Settings/System/System updates/Check now - try again

2) Change your Theme to the Roku Default: Settings/Theme/Restore default theme - try again

3) Change your Screensaver to a Roku clock: Settings/Theme/Screensavers - try again

4) Remove SD card (if installed) - try again

5) Remove YT app, RESTART ROKU: Settings/System/System restart/Restart, Add YT app - try again

6) Network connection reset: Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Network connection reset - try again

7) Completely unplug power from Roku for 10-15 minutes - try again

8) Factory reset: Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Factory reset <--- last resort

YouTube will not play on my Roku

I keep receiving the same message over and over: YouTube could not run because there isn’t enough space….

I deleted some channels, unplugged the tv, tried to reset Roku, but it was already updated. I have tried everything I could find on here and on Google, but to no avail. Please help me!!!

Re: YouTube will not play on my Roku

Hi @LisaK2,

Thanks for letting us know about the issue that you are experiencing.

What Roku model devices are you using? Have you tried removing any unused channels on your Roku device, restarting your Roku?

We also recommend trying to perform a factory reset on your device. Then once the device is set up again, try adding the channel back again and seeing if your issue is resolved.
For more information about how to perform a factory reset on your device, visit our Support page here: How do I factory reset my Roku® streaming device?

Keep us posted and we'll continue assisting from there if needed.

Regards,
Mary

Thanks for following up, @bittilit,

Did you make sure to follow all the instructions that @StreamerUser mentioned in the previous post including performing a factory reset on the Roku device after removing the channels before adding the channels back again?

Re: roku youtube app error again

I just started seeing the YouTube error message on my Sharp Roku TV 7201X, mod. LC-43LBU591U this morning. I removed two unused channels, restarted, and the problem was resolved. I hadn't  added any new channels since the last time it worked, so removing may not have been necessary.
