I bought a brand new Roku Express last week after my old one went out. Everything is working fine except YouTube TV. I've added the channel but when I click on it, everything freezes for roughly 2 minutes then the Roku restarts. I've tried deleting the YouTube TV channel and re-adding it but that didn't help. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it? Thanks!
Lots of problems with YouTube TV have been reported lately. I suspect Google (owner of YouTube) has put out yet another faulty update to their app.
But in case you just have a corrupted installation, a reinstall may fix the problem, so give it a try before you go through the more drastic factory reset which will force you to set the Roku up again from scratch. Remove/reinstall procedure:
Highlight channel on home screen.
Press * key and choose Remove channel option.
IMPORTANT- DON'T SKIP: Restart the Roku to clear its memory via Settings > System > System restart. (On a Roku TV, this is Settings > System > Power > System restart.)
Reinstall the channel. Note it will be added to the END of the channel grid.
If channel requires a login, you may need to log in anew.
