YouTube TV app no longer available

I stream my live tv through YouTube TV. The app stopped working today, it was working two days ago, but it stopped today. I looked at similar posts & deleted the app and then went to reinstall it. Unfortunately the app is no longer available, I wasn’t aware of that or I wouldn’t have removed it to begin with. I downloaded just the YouTube app itself since that’s the only one available. It isn’t working either. 
I use this to stream regular tv and I’ve had my Roku tv for a few years. I don’t want to have to change streaming services or have to find a different tv/company that allows YouTube tv. 
I can’t find anyway to reach out to customer service personally & I’m just a little confused on why the information about not being able to reinstall the app wasn’t told to all the customers. Is there a way for me to still watch YouTube TV or am I out of luck? 
Again, the YouTube app isn’t working and the YouTube TV app is no longer available.

Roku blocking YouTube TV due to conflict with Google

My Roku TV and streaming device are now blocking YouTube TV. The icon for YouTube TV does not even appear on the screen. I chatter with their customer support and was given the following message: "Please note that existing customers will still be able to access the YouTube TV channel for now. New subscribers will not be able to add the YouTube TV channel at this time. It is important that you do not delete the YouTube TV channel as it will not be available for download until Google agrees to review the agreement." We've had our Roku's for years and did not delete the YouTube TV channel. They somehow did that. Customer support was no help at all. Time to toss the Rokus and go get a Fire.

This is very old news.  You can still access Youtube TV through the regular Youtube channel/app.  It takes two parties to come to an agreement.  Why are you siding with Google?

Youtube TV still not working 9/21

YouTube TV is still not working as of September 19 1142 Pacific standard time. What are my options? Is there a discussion or debate between Roku and YouTube TV??

I also cannot open YouTube TV.  I've made sure I have the latest Roku update. I've made sure I have the latest YouTube TV update. I've shut everything down, rebooted, restarted, etc.  I still get an error message saying I have no internet connection. Yet my settings show excellent wifi strength and that I am connected to the internet. ALL other streaming services work, except YouTube TV.  

I am getting rid of my Roku device(s).  I am tired of being in the middle of disputes between Roku and YouTube TV.  As of yesterday I can no longer use YouTube TV on my Roku device. All other streaming services work fine on my Roku device; i.e. it is NOT the network. I have deleted and reinstalled Youtube TV and restarted Roku. All to no avail. I've had it with Roku. I am switching to another type of streaming device. Good by Roku.  Thomas Forrest

We'll find out about negotiations when one or both parties announce something.

Your options? That depends on what you're after. If you want to watch YouTube TV on Roku, and if you don't have the YouTube TV app, then you can use the YouTube app to watch YouTube TV: scroll down to the last item on the menu on the left, labeled YouTube TV. That's YouTube TV.

I already figured that one out by reading all the other numerous replies to complaints on this exact same issue.  So yes, I can access YouTube TV in a roundabout way thru YouTube. My comment was about Roku abruptly dropping of YouTube TV app and the error message trying to tell me there is something wrong with my internet connection (when there is not).  As far as the negotiations and their relevance to this issue, both sides just point fingers saying it's not their fault it's not working correctly.  Nothing changed on my end; no new equipment, no new providers, nothing new at all.  So I find it very strange that I have been able to access YouTube TV just fine for the last two years and suddenly I can't unless I now go thru extra gyrations to do so.  I just want Roku to work the way it is supposed to without having to do that.

Sure, that's the way it should work. But, any issues with the YouTube TV app and how well it works (or doesn't) are unrelated to the fact that Google didn't renew the contract for Roku to carry the app. Google added the YouTube app workaround, so they do want the app to work. Roku wants the app to work. But sometimes, apps don't work.

Keep in mind also that Google has dedicated servers for YouTube TV on Roku, just like they have dedicated servers for YouTube TV on Apple TV, and so on. If there is an issue with the network working, either yours or the extended network to include the path between your device and the Google servers, they will be reported by the app in certain ways. Sometimes the apps give their own responses, other times the apps trigger error messages from the operating system, just like on your laptop or desktop, your iPhone or Android, and any other device.

Yes, some people are experiencing issues with the YouTube TV app, either the app itself, or in the service, but it's unrelated to the Google/Roku contract dispute.

thanks for the responses and perhaps i wasn't clear.  i have access to my account for YTT , i'd like to watch it on my older tv that requires a streaming device.  roku will not work with YTT.

yesterday i connected my tivo device (got thru a promotional for free) and i'm back in business on that tv.  YTT worked fine on my other tv w/o a streaming stick as well as my mobile devices.

If you have the YouTube TV app on a Roku device, then get a new Roku device, it will be added to the new device. Did that not happen for you?
