I haven't purchased a Roku device yet. Will I be able to access my Xfinity DVR via a Roku streaming player?
The Xfinity Stream app will let you access DVR recordings that are X1 Cloud recordings, which may include 'copies' of physical DVR recordings. You will not be able to access any recordings that are only available on your cable box's physical hard drive, if it has one.
To be honest, Comcast's handling of DVR is very confusing under X1, especially if you have a physical DVR. Some recordings may end up being cloud, some only physical, and some may be available both ways.
If you don't have X1, then DVR recording is not available outside of that box.
How do I access my xfinity DVR with the Roku streaming stick?
You need to use the Xfinity app. Also, only "cloud" recordings will be accessable. Any recording that is only on the DVR will not be available.
So, how can I put all my movies in the cloud? Or isn't that an option? It seems like only the last 40 some movies are available, but I've got 190+ movies on my DVR....
So there's no way to put movies from the DVR to the cloud?
The cloud recording has a 20-60 hour limit. After that, it will not duplicate anything from your DVR.
