Wrong region

Jump to solution

I did a factory reset on my Roku TV and lost ALL of my channels like CBS, Amazon Prime etc. Now when I try to add those and other missing channels I get the following error message "Channel not available in your region." I am located in Los Angeles, CA and these channels are available in this region because my neighbors still have them. Please help!

Thanks for the inquiry.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. If channels in your region are not available, it may indicate that your device is linked to an account that was created in a different region where that channel may not be offered by the channel provider. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account. You can check your IP address' reported location by visiting www.whatismyip.com - If you see an issue, you'll need to contact your ISP to help resolve any issue.

We would recommend creating a new Roku account in your region. For more information about how to create a new account, visit our Support page here: How do I create a Roku® account? Once your new account is set up, try to perform a factory reset on your device and link it to your new account. Thanks,
Danny

Go to your account at roku.com., log in and make sure you are paired

with your account.

Go to the bottom of MY Account and see if youre linked up.

If that seems fine then try to reset your Router (unplug/replug)

Roku Ultra ---Ethernet rules---

From now on if people dont upvote me and do as I say I will consider holding my breath and selling my Roku's.

Are you using a VPN that masks your true location?   A site like https://www.iplocation.net/ can tell you what location your IP is identified as.
