If it is the same Tamashakhaneh found on Youtube, they last made a video 9 months ago. I would think maybe the developers abandoned the project/channel.  It definitely is not in the Channel Store. (at least not for USA Customers).

It is not the same. The Tamashakhaneh was a channel for streaming persian channels amd shows. It seems it jas suddenly disappeared from the channel list.

Apparent copyright or content licensing issues from what I have since gathered from the forum threads regarding the other Tamashakhane Channel.

If a copyright issue, then it applies to all other broadcasters.  We will see what happens once they all are about to go.

@awvawz No, it only applies to this particular provider on the Roku platform. Other streaming providers have legal permission to stream the content. This particular provider did not have such permission. Roku has removed other channels in the past for the same reason. Whomever is providing media to stream must provide it legally. Providers like Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Vudu, etc. all pay licensing fees that allow them to stream their media.

Roku should bring back the TAMASHAKHANE channel, I got Roku for that, and GLWIZ is no good with a high subscription cost.

This discrimination on behalf of Roku, since GLWIZ, pays Roku and we will sue ROKU for that, and I hope Roku understand that Tamashakhane was a great and good Persian channel, if not then I destroy my ROKU since I bought it for that6 reason.

@Ali_M There is no discrimination. Roku removed the channel because they were streaming the content illegally, as they did not have permission from the content owners. Roku will not allow any channel to stream content illegally, as that can make them legally liable. There have been reports that the other channel is streaming without permission either. If Roku confirms that, you can expect that channel to be removed as well.

If the provider can offer proof they are streaming the content legally, then Roku would likely allow them to return to the platform. But without that proof, it's gone for good.

If you destroy your Roku, that certainly is your privilege. But there's plenty of other content that might be of interest to you on it if you look through the available channels. And you have no basis of a suit against Roku, as the end user license agreement says they have the right to remove content at any time.
