The first time you start the Netflix channel, it will have buttons to either log in with an existing account or subscribe. It sounds like yours isn't reaching that point. What error message are you getting?
With channel issues, the first step is to remove the channel, reboot the Roku (critical step, must be done), then add the channel back in. Just don't remove YouTube TV, as that channel can't be reinstalled if removed.
Also, you didn't state what model Roku you have. Yes, it might make a difference. Some lower end models have been having issues this past week, and one of the solutions is to change any screensaver to the basic Roku Clock screensaver, and also to use a basic theme.
