I have a subscription to HBO through Roku, and up until last week was able to watch it on my Roku TV and Firestick; now I can no longer watch on Firestick; it either asks for a sing in on HBO max or HBO through prime, which I don’t have.
I wonder if you were using a free trial on the Firestick? Premium channels like HBO like to get paid so unless there's a trial, you have to sign in somehow.
There's a trade-off on paying through channels through Roku. If you do, they'll be available on any Roku on the same account. On the other hand, they won't be on non-Roku devices. So, if you're not all or mostly Roku, it might be better to make an account directly with HBO and then sign in on your devices,
