The App will not allow me to play the premium channel on my iPad rather than through the TV-connected Roku
Hi,
Thanks for letting us know about the issue that you are experiencing.
Have you signed into your Roku account in the mobile app? You will need to be signed into your account to watch premium content on the Roku Channel through the mobile app
If you are still experiencing issues watching content in the app, please let us know the following:
- What premium content are you trying to watch?
- What version of the Roku mobile app do you have installed?
- What model of iPad are you having this issue with? What version of iOS is installed?
- Are you able to play the premium subscription by signing into your account in a browser at therokuchannel.roku.com
Please keep us posted!
Thanks,
Danny
I am having the same problem. CBS All Access does not appear as a channel on the channel list on my iPad although I can watch them on my tv. CBS doesn’t show up when I search. I am logged in to my account and able to see Showtime.
I am having this same issue - I have the Hallmark subscription and it is saying I don't have it and in my browser it wants me to sign up for the free trial for 5.99 per month? I am already signed up at 23.99 per year?
Thanks for the inquiry.
Please be aware that the only content that you will be able to view on the an iPad will be content through The Roku Channel. You will not have access to all the subscriptions that you have on the Roku device to view through The Roku Channel.

When is Roku going to address this question. I have the same problem. It seems the only answer is to discontinue your Roku subscriptions. Maybe if they start losing money they’ll have the courtesy to respond.
