Voice over

So on two of my channels (TVs and true tv) a voice is being dubbed over the shows. Telling me the actions going on I’m watching. How do I turn this off?? How did it get turned on in the first place lol?

Re: Voice over

Turning menu audio off did not help.

Re: Voice over

I think you have mistakenly enabled the Audio Guide (an accessibility feature for sight-impaired users).

Settings...Accessibility...Audio Guide... Set to OFF to disable.

You can also toggle from your remote ( press *, then navigate to Accessibility)

If you have it set to ON in your Settings, it allows you to toggle the Audio Guide by pressing the * button  four times (4x) to toggle on/off, if you have the Audio Guide Shortcut enabled.

Disable the shortcut if you do not need this feature as well.

Settings...Accessibility...Shortcut.. Disabled

Hopefully that is your issue.

Re: Voice over

Thank you, but I’ve taken these steps with no success. It appears to only be happening on certain shows or channels. So frustrating!

@Ride4Wine

So exactly what is the issue you are having?  What exactly are you hearing and what channels?

This is a pretty detailed thread, see if any of these suggestions apply to your situation.  Looks like either a sourcing issue if using a cable box, or just SAP related or disabling Audio descriptions from within the media being played itself.  Does not appear to be a Roku issue or a Roku Setting.

Report back if doesn't help with more detail or if you get resolved.
