If you press the home button on your remote and navigate down to Settings on left hand side and hit OK. Scroll down to System and hit OK. Scroll down to System Update and hit OK. Hit OK on the Check Now option.
I've been having the same issue and checking for updates didn't resolve the issue.
I'm also a new user, so maybe we got dud devices from a batch or something.
