UKTV play channel says I need to update

Hi.  Newbie here.

UKTV play channel says that I need to update the app, but I don't know how to do it.

In any case, I have only installed my Streaming Stick+ today, and I thought that the apps were downloaded then (although I may have been mistaken).

Thanks in advance of any help at all!

I purchased my stick last Friday and was getting the same message.

From Roku home screen, I navigated to the UKTV tile, hit the * button on the rmeote and then told it to delete the channel.

I then scrolled down to streaming channels on the far left hand side, then selected "search channels" and typed in UKTV.

You are then promoted to install it. It will ask for your Roku pin- I couldn't remember mine so I went to https://my.roku.com/account to set a new PIN.

The newest version of UKTV was installed and it is working fine.

Hi,

If you press the home button on your remote and navigate down to Settings on left hand side and hit OK. Scroll down to System and hit OK. Scroll down to System Update and hit OK. Hit OK on the Check Now option.

I've been having the same issue and checking for updates didn't resolve the issue.

I'm also a new user, so maybe we got dud devices from a batch or something.

If anyone has any tips, or you manage to fix yours, let me know!!

BTW before you can watch anything you will need to activate the UKTV/Roku link.

It will ask you to use a phone/laptop and follow the instructions and enter the onscreen code into your browser.

I think you also need to register at https://uktvplay.uktv.co.uk/

I was already logged into my account on my laptop at the time.

I'm getting the same problem. If I go to update in settings, it says all apps up to date, last checked today, so I can't access UKTV on Roku anymore

As per my post- delete the UKTv channel and then re-install it.

Thanks, this worked! From the home favourites, navigate to UK TV play icon and press * and then remove channel. Search for it and add it back and the shows are now all there.

Amazing, thank you! I'm now back binge watching TaskMaster, you've helped my sanity in these strange times!
