Streaming between two rokus

I have a Roku my son gave me in one room and one I bought in another. Why can't I get streaming services on one but I can on the other. He can't remember the pin to the one he gave me. Most channels work on both but Acorn and Disney plus don't.

Some of the newer channels were written to use the enhanced capabilities of more recent Roku models and can't be loaded on to older, obsolete models.
