That's what mine did too. Worked fine and then yesterday it would flash three "verifying your account" in red and the 4th in white is when it would freeze. It was happening on all 3 Rokus. I handed in 3 cable boxes last week...not sure if that is connected or coincidence.
As soon as you the "verifying your account" comes up use the left arrow at the top next to Home. It has worked for me on all 3 Rokus.
