Spectrum TV channel app crashing when selecting On Demand

Odd one here:

This totally used to work, but the Spectrum TV channel app now crashes/force closes/goes back to Roku main menu (no error) whenever I try to select On Demand from the channel app's main menu.  The rest of the channel app works fine (live TV, starting a show from the beginning (which uses on demand), My Library (which also pulls from previously watched on demand), etc.).

I have 3 Roku devices (2016 Ultra, 2017 Ultra, and Premiere+), and the same issue happens on all 3.  This was working as early as a few days ago on my Premiere+ (hadn't yet tried on either Ultra at the time).  I at first thought it was a problem with one of my units until I tried all 3.  I assume/hope the problem is on Spectrum and/or Roku's end and fixable.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything similar.

I tried:

-Remove/reload Spectrum TV channel app (with a Reset in-between)
-Reset
-Factory Reset
-Factory Reset, unlinked device and linked to fresh/new account (so that all of my channel apps wouldn't automatically download to the unit)

Does anyone know whom I should contact to report this bug?

Re: Spectrum TV channel app crashing when selecting On Demand

That's not good.  I have a Stick and Stick+ that I am using the Spectrum app on without those issues, but it has been flaky for me in other areas lately.

As for getting support, use this page and scroll to the bottom where it has the "Contact us" and "Chat" links.  I've used this a few times with reasonably fast responses:

Thanks, optikhog.  My current workaround is to go to https://watch.spectrum.net/ondemand/networks via a web browser, then add whatever I want to watch to "Watch Later."  The shows will then appear under My Library > Watchlist in the Spectrum TV channel app and seem to play fine.

Just a quick update for anyone that cares:  On Demand is now working again across all devices.

Don't know but it is a real pain and they should get it right. I neverhsd this issue with time Warner

Re: Spectrum TV channel app crashing when selecting On Demand

I've just started having this same issue.  Have tried pulling up On Demand shows thru my library and directly though the Spectrum app.  If I want to watch a show, I now have to go directly to the network carrying it and watch the show that way.  Don't know how to fix it.

Re: Spectrum TV channel app crashing when selecting On Demand

This is an addendum to my previous comments.  The majority of the time when it crashes, I get the message "RVP-999 Unable to complete request"

@Frias13

Thanks for the post.

For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact Spectrum support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

You can reach Spectrum support here: https://www.spectrum.net/support/

Thanks,
Danny
