Spectrum Duplicate channels

Think this is more of a Spectrum issue than Roku but here goes:

I know why there are variations of duplicate channels. HS, SD, digital yada yada. I want to keep only one channel instead of multiples of the same in my favorites. Problem seems to be if I delete any one of the duplicate channels then all the other corresponding channels get deleted also.

Why? And more importantly, why hasn't this been fixed?

For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact Spectrum support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

It's not just a Spectrum problem. Comcast has a similar issue. Internally, channels have an ID code that is then mapped onto one or more channel numbers. The favorites are actually saving the ID code, not the channel number.
