Netflix streaming info on TCL 55P605 / 55P607 by pressing asterisk (*) doesn't work anymore. Solved!

I have a TCL 55P605 Roku TV. Until recently, the asterisk button allowed me to toggle the streaming information on and off if it was pressed in the Netflix app while on the main screen where you select something to watch. Doing this doesn't work anymore—at least not on my TV. I've tried pressing the asterisk (or star) button on every screen in the Netflix app and I couldn't get the streaming specs to show up. Does anyone with the same television or an identical problem have a solution? Thank you for your time and consideration. Solution:

I have the same TV and discovered the new way to toggle the streaming info / specifications on and off. While watching something, simply double tap the asterisk button. It doesn't work flawlessly, but I'm pretty sure "double clicking" the star button is the new default way to display the stream info.

FINALLY! Ilosf this feature.

Now I know, with the double asterisk press, before playing my movie/series, what resolution I'm looking at AND if my ISP is giving what I pay for.

I know this thread is a few years old but I haven't seen a good answer. Today I had the same problem and I figured out how to quickly remove the clock in the corner..

1. Go to the main menu of Netflix  2. Go into settings 3. Go to help  4. Click reset Netflix. Voilà said the French man!

On the Roku Ultra 2019, I went to the main Netflix menu, selected "Get Help", then select "Reload Netflix". Netflix will reload and the stats should be gone.

You can turn the NetFix streaming stats on/off (without reloading) on  Roku devices by doing the following:

1) Open NF/Select profile.

2) Once the main NF UI opens, before selecting (highlighting is fine) any content press Options (*) twice.

3) Select content, play content.

NOTE: If the stats were off, this will turn them on.  If they were on, this will turn them off.
