Have reset the stick, reloaded the app, been in contact with sling and nothing works. It's obviously a roku issue, but does anyone have a solution?

Has it ever worked on the purple stick? I feel like it may never have been officially supported. Very slow, old hardware.
Yes! I have SlingPlayer app on both my iPad and my Roku. The SlingPlayer plays on my iPad. However, I cannot throw signal up to TV with my Roku 3. I have tried all regular steps. Restart, reset, redo wireless/ internet settings, etc.
Everything show its connected properly. It worked for a few years. Now all of a sudden, it won’t hold the Roku IP address on SlingPlayer app. I manually put it in, and although I’m standing directly in front of TV, It says there is “no ROKU with that IP available.
Help would be appreciated. We use this as our only TV at a different home.

You can't cast from an iOS device to a Roku. Apple doesn't support it. I was never able to make anything work. I did get an Android phone to work, but that's it. Unless that's some sort of functionality contained within Sling. I don't use it, so honestly don't know. But under normal conditions you can't cast from iOS.

Please see the recent topic discussing the SlingPlayer channel availability on Roku here: https://community.roku.com/t5/Channel-Issues-Questions/SlingPlayer-channel-on-purple-streaming-stick...
If you have an issue related to the separate 'Sling TV' channel, please generate a new topic for your issue and specify the exact channel you are referring to.
Thanks,
