Help & troubleshooting for channels on your Roku device, including adding/removing channels, logging in to, authenticating, or activating a channel, channel-specific playback issues, assistance contacting channel publishers to report issues, and adjusting channel-specific settings.
The Sling guide on Roku is an awful mess. I just want the Guide in alphabetical order, like we expect! Googling the issue showed me that AppleTV updated their Sling last JAN. to allow for the channels to show in alphabetical order in both the Grid and Channel ribbon, and also has an area at the top of the screen that gives all the info about the show you highlight, none of which our Roku allows. CordCutter News said they expected Roku to add the update soon (as of Jan. 2019), and that Roku has to approve and update their Sling TV app. But when I look at the guide through Sling TV on my browser, it has the same un-alphabetizable issue, so I'm not sure what's going on. Anybody know how to do it? PLEASE ROKU, DO THIS! Here is what AppleTV's Sling update looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vzafeKwiPk
Thanks for letting us know about the issue that you are experiencing.
For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact Sling support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
I actually contacted Sling support and this is what they said: So not sure who can answer this question but it really is a nice feature - not surprised Apple is the first to implement, but hope it's coming soon to roku.
It is an easy fix, get rid of Roku and switch over to Apple as I did. I was fed up with Roke's lack of alphabetizing guide and it seems that they either don't want to fix the problem, or they don't know how to fix it. So I went to Apple. Roku has to many competitors out there.
I don't recall there ever being an alphabetized option of channels. You can however select categorizing channels. For example. on your guide-grid selection select over to the left and select "news channels" or "sports" etc. and only those channels will be listed in the "Grid" handy if you know where your favorite channels are..... BTW the Sling App sucks ! with the knowledge it is a Dish Netwprk product explains a lot
