When using the Roku channel no show will play. Have tried multiple shows and when hitting play it returns immediately to the episode play screen. Live TV will work fine. I'm using an Onn Roku 70" Roku TV. I've restarted the TV, unintstalled the channel and reinstalled twice, and checked for updates but nothing is working. I also tried my other Roku TV in my bedroom and the same exact thing is happening. All other channels are working fine and I've checked my internet and that's working perfectly.
Are you in the US? It seems like people outside of the US get more than their fair share of problems even where TRC is supported.
yes in Nevada
Thanks for the post.
Please be aware that when removing a channel, it's important that you restart the Roku device before adding the channel back again, specifically in that order.
If you are still experiencing an issue, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
With more detailed information, we will be able to investigate and assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
...i was having a similar issue with the classic reruns channel. i click on it and for a split second it appears, then just as quickly i get shunted back to the main screen. however, if a search a program that is on classic reruns, i can go to that program and watch it without issues. now, the same thing is happening with the weather channel. can you help?
Thanks for the post.
For more information about those channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
Thanks,
Danny
thanks, danny. in fact, that is exactly what happened. we contacted the weather network, for example, and they responded immediately, stating that they were aware of the issue and working to fix it. which they did.
