Shared Account on Roku

I share a Disney account with my sister, and when I enter in her credentials, I get Error Code 14.  Thanks for your help!

Re: Shared Account on Roku

The error code 14 is more a network connection issue with your Roku connecting to the network.  More often than not it is a network password issue.  Here is Roku's troubleshooting.  Refer to Error Code 14.

https://support.roku.com/en-gb/article/208755728

See if that helps and post back if you need more help or fixes your issue.  Also note your Roku device model, router, and if you have any other Channels experiencing similar problems or just isolated to Disney.

Sometimes simply restarting both your router and your Roku device is all you need to resolve network issues.  Other times, may have to adjust some settings at the router.

Re: Shared Account on Roku

I tried, but still the same problem.  The other apps on Roku are working, but Disney is not.  When I log into the web page from my computer, I get the same error code.  I can only access it from the app on my phone.  Airplay was working for a while between my iPhone 11 and Roku ultra, but then yesterday it stopped working.

Re: Shared Account on Roku

Ok, seems to be a Disney bug.  I have provided two links for you, one is from the Disney forums, the other is a simple article explaining the fix also.  Basically it is again a password issue, but from within the Disney app itself.  Oddly, people can access it from their mobile app, but then get the error code 14 when using a streaming device or laptop.  There are some other verification issues re: linking your device that are also addressed within the non-disney link that may also be applicable to you.

First, make sure you are using the correct password since shared with your sister.  If it is then you can either...

1. Choose "Forgot password" and then re-renter your password when given the option during password reset.

2. Change your password to one that Disney considers "Strong"

Hopefully, one of these things will get you going now.

Re: Shared Account on Roku

Well, I’m a little embarrassed! 😆 I called my sister to ask her to reset the password, and, as a younger sister does— she pointed out that I was typing the wrong password in all along! 😆 So this solution did work—just not in the way that we thought it would! 😂. Thanks so much for your help!
