Search option missing on home screen

I purchased a Roku streaming stick+ from Amazon and installed it today, and noticed there is no search option on the home screen. This is a US purchase, US account, US wifi. 

Home just shows home, featured free, latest news, my feed, movie store, tv store streaming channels, and settings. 

Also no setting to add it or turn it on.

Are you connecting to the internet through a VPN that masks your location,  or were you using one when you set up your account?

Nope, just regular Cox Cable. Even checked whatismyip and it shows my city and state correctly!
