Roku, xfinity and HBO Max

Jump to solution

HBO Max is included with my Xfinity account. How can I access HBO Max on Roku using my Xfinity account without a separate subscription to HBO Max?

@Davidrcrist

Thanks for the inquiry.

For more information about that channel's authentication and functionality, you'll want to contact HBO Max support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

You can reach HBO Max support here: https://help.hbomax.com/ContactUs

I am logged into HBO Max using my AT&T credentials, so it's possible. I can't recall the exact steps I had to follow, but it does ask what provider you're using when you attempt to log in.

If the channel isn't asking you to log in/subscribe, then I suggest removing the channel, rebooting your Roku, then adding that channel back in again. Don't forget the reboot, or the removal wasn't completed and any problem with the channel may remain.
