True, but ROKU marketed it as a reason to buy their product.

Roku didn’t market a porn channel. Where do you get that from? Roku does not make 99% of the channels you can download to your Roku.

Get your facts straight!  Roku removed ALL private/uncertified channels.  IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ADULT CHANNELS/APPS!

@Thekid359

You didn't say which app it was. If it was a Non-certified App -- one where you enter a code rather than download from the Channel Store -- then all of those were deleted in late February. If that's what you're talking about, then you may have missed when Roku announced the sunsetting of Non-certified Apps back in October, two months before you bought your Roku device.

If it's something else, let us know what the issue is. Details are always helpful, and we'll see if we can offer any assistance.

@Thekid359

First, notice my signature. I don’t work for Roku. So don’t “you guys” me.

Next, the notice went out in October, and 120 days later, the apps in the Non-certified apps library were deleted. If that app wasn’t in the Non-certified library until after that, Roku may have not deleted it until the 120-day limit reached. I cannot say with certainty t the at is the case, however. But it would explain the date differential.

Next, why didn’t that company simply apply for app certification? If the code meets standards, to include a legitimate business, then I would expect Roku to approve it.

And wasn’t IPTV Smarters removed from the Google Play Store over piracy concerns? Or am I thinking of some other app?
