my question to that is does porn apply to their "adult" terms

Dunno. And if it does, don't expect Roku to use the term "porn."

I do know of a case where the developer flagged his channel as 18+ and it no longer appears in the Channel Store.  I think he's still trying to get it straightened out, but maybe there is a path for adult channels that's similar to the old private channel way of doing things - you have to add it via a code on the website.

I don't know and it's all completely conjecture on my part.  I haven't looked at the publishing criteria in some time which seem to change quite often, so I don't know whether, other than the adult content issue, something like PornHub could really satisfy them.

Re: No more adult content. Not even if you are an adult - seriously wack

You can say whatever **bleep** you want, at the end of the day Roku just lost my business and there isn't anything you can say that is going to change that.

No idea why some of you are so invested in what other people use their roku for.

for the record, I'm not defending Roku in this. I think it was a stupid move without having something in place to replace the non-certified channels. I for one think at the very least bit they should have an Adult section that requires a pin to use that could have channels like Vidangel and Pornhub in it. Of course this is Roku we're talking about and I believe this decision will come back and bite them in their collective butts

Re: Roku removing Private/Non-Certified Channels?

They did not even wait till MARCH, All private went away last night.  Just giving my customers another reason to throw their ROKU products [tvs] out instead of repairing them.  Just shows how cheap the ROKU people are, they could have written code to have channel blocks, just junk now.

A day or so ago, my total channels on my Roku4, was over 350, today its 275, so I had 75 uncertified channels that went away, none were porn by the way.  The way they went about this is total **bleep**.
