Roku is confused about my location

I live in the UK and I have used Roku for a long time. I have recently had to make a new user account because the Roku used an account in another person’s name (shared device).
I don’t have a VPN and have no need to watch US TV.
How can I change my location in Roku?
Also I have factory reset device with no change.

Re: Roku is confused about my location

Hi I have a similar issue I live in the UK but only have access to BBC america or American channels cannot find access to BBC iPlayer or any UK catch up channels. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Re: Roku is confused about my location

Thanks for the post.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. If channels in your region are not available, it may indicate that your device is linked to an account that was created in a different region where that channel may not be offered by the channel provider. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account. You can check your IP address' reported location by visiting - If you see an issue, you'll need to contact your ISP to help resolve any issue.

We would recommend creating a new Roku account in your region.
