Roku Streaming Stick+

I recently purchased one of these to replace an Amazon Firestick for our Sony TV.
However, the Roku only allows 'live' vieiwing on BBC iPlayer and not 'catch-up' yet it isn't listed by the BBC as a device which isn't authorised.
The Roku 'help' centre weren't helpful at all and blamed the BBC for the problem.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or have I just wasted £70 and been promised something that can't be delivered?

According to the BBC Website, the Streaming Stick+ (that's model 3810) is authorized: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/roku

The problem lies with BBC. They control what the app will play. You might want to contact them.
