Roku Media Player usage charge for using a USB for personal media.

After using the Roku Media Player, using my USB memory stick, I was charged $2.11 for an unknown App called "My USB".

After spending 2 hours on the support Chat, I concluded that The USB on the Roku device cannot be used by the Roku Media Player app, as there is hidden charge for the so called "My USB" -3rd party app.

Has anyone run into this problem?

The only option is to stop using both the USB and Roku Media Player ??

Does the Roku Community have any suggestions? The support gave me run around, and when I ended the chat, I requested a email transcript which they offer but never send me one.
Any help is appreciated.

@hbhatt

First thing, log into your online Roku account at https://www.roku.com/.  After you access your Account, look for "Manage my Subscriptions" (https://my.roku.com/account/subscriptions) and look for this "My USB" Subscription.  Go ahead and cancel it if is there.  I don't even know what it does over and above what the Roku Media Player and the Ultra allows, from looking at its description.  This is an available Channel/app in the Roku Channel Store, so not sure if you accidently signed up for it. With that out the way, you can certainly use a USB thumb drive (or even larger USB hard drive) with the Ultra and the free Roku Media Player.  Absolutely free - this is what the Ultra USB feature was designed for.

Here is Roku Support Page explaining how to use the USB port on the Ultra device to view photos, videos, and music. (How to use Roku Media Player to play your videos, music and photos - https://support.roku.com/article/208754908).  Just make sure your content is in a compatible format and you format your USB drive accordingly as well, as mentioned in the linked support article.

Currently, however, Roku OS 11 updates are negatively affecting Ultras and some USB drives as well as file formats, namely mp4.  I haven't had issues with mkv file formats, but I currently am having issues trying to play mp4 files on my Ultra 4660 (shared from a router USB/DLNA with the Roku Media Player) as some other users have been reporting in the Community.

Hopefully the above clears it up for you.  Feel free to post an update or if you need more help.
