Roku Media Player: format for M3U playlists?

I've been trying to make my wife's iTunes library available to her on our Roku running Media Player version 4.1.1559. I was able to get all the files onto a USB drive and have them show up on the Roku. But I have been stymied in getting her playlists (in M3U format) set up. I keep getting the "no compatible audio" error.

As a test, I created a simple, one song playlist, and tried several variations:

#EXTINF:230,Take on me - A-ha
G:\iTunes Music\A-ha\Hunting High And Low\Take on me.mp3

#EXTINF:230,Take on me - A-ha
./iTunes Music/A-ha/Hunting High And Low/Take on me.mp3

#EXTINF:230,Take on me - A-ha
iTunes Music\A-ha\Hunting High And Low\Take on me.mp3

#EXTINF:230,Take on me - A-ha
iTunes Music/A-ha/Hunting High And Low/Take on me.mp3

None of these worked. I've searched in this forum and on the web for a definitive format and/or method of playlist creation, but nothing has stood out to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Roku Media Player: format for M3U playlists?

I think someone posted last year of some program that made a kinda workaround...
It would be a lot easier if you installed & ran Plex.

Re: Roku Media Player: format for M3U playlists?

Is this an HFS+ formated USB drive?
Are the permissions set so that they are readable by all?

Re: Roku Media Player: format for M3U playlists?

The drive is a 32gig FAT32 drive.

I looked at the files I copied over on my Mac, and all directories and files are 777 in terms of permissions

I've had success with this freeware, and have posted here about it many times, so may be what was mentioned.

Does your Playlist file have this -
#EXTM3U

- as the first line?
