How do I prevent the Roku Channel from automatically being added to my channel lineup every few days? No matter how many times I delete it, they bring it back--sometimes automatically starting a movie that I never selected. It's pretty shady on Roku's part.

Do you have multiple Rokus linked to your account?  Check at https://my.roku.com/account  Any channels added to or deleted from one Roku will be added to or deleted from all Rokus linked to that account.

No I do not have multiple accounts. I suspect this is a marketing scheme by Roku.

He didn't ask about multiple accounts. If you have multiple Roku devices, adding it to one adds it to all. 

But it's also certainly possible that Roku adds it back in. If you don't use it, move it to the bottom of your home screen (press * and select move) and it's out of sight. If it's taking up memory your Roku needs for other channels, the code will be offloaded and stay off unless the channel is selected. So there's no downside to leaving it hidden at the bottom. 

But I would agree that a channel removed should stay removed, as long as it's not being added by a different device on the same user account.

As soon as I saw this post yesterday I uninstalled the Roku Channel to see what would happen.. No great loss, I never watched it anyhow. So far it has not re-installed itself.
