I'm being requested to activate membership for a channel I'm already subscribed to. Will not allow me to watch any of the videos other than the trailer. Does allow me access to only the channel and menu features.
Some channels have two ways to watch - through The Roku Channel or via a stand-alone channel/app using a subscription directly with the provider. If you subscribe one way you won't be able to watch the other way. Could that be what's happening?
